Hi! i had my interview last sept 2, 2010.. i thought all my documents are complete since i brought my annulment papers with me, nbi with my single name now and everything. during the initial interview, the girl asked me for my old nbi ( with my ex husband's surname) but i dont have it anymore. since they took it when i applied to work and misplaced the other half. so i thought everything is ok. my interview with the CO went ok, very easy questions since he speaks tagalog and english. he asked me about my old nbi, i told him they took it. he said, ok, but we still need your nbi with AKA. he means my current name and surname, and with AKA of my married name. they told me to wait to one counter, the guy there told me if i already know what to get. i said yes nbi with aka. he gave me my passport back together with a blue form, the passport box is checked, the nbi box, and the box for additional doc below, and asked me to fill out an air21 form to register and give it to the guy beside the air21 on my way out, which i did. he told me too that it would be cash upon delivery.

The next day, sept 3, i went to get my nbi, but they told me i have a HIT, same name! of course, coz that would still be me.i have a unique surname and name. and never had an issue with nbi. but i guess it's their SOP. so they ask me to go back on sept 8.. after i got my nbi with AKA, i went to USembassy Manila, the guy at the first counter gave me a number and ask me to sit and they will start to call numbers soon. So at the counter, i gave the girl the blue form, my passport and the nbi with aka. she checked it. and asked me if i already registered at air21. i said, yes. she smiled and said, ok, u can go home now and just wait.

it would be 3 weeks tomorrow since i passed the additional document. i dont see any problem with it, but when i read the forums and some people got it like days or in less than a week after they passed their additional documents, im starting to get worried. my fiance called the call center last friday, and they said the last update there is sept 8, if we wont get anything until oct 8, we have to call them again so they will make an inquiry.

am i gonna get refused? ive been worried sick about it. this whole waiting is stressful since no one knows if i will get approved or not. anyone from here who's in the same situation like me or had the same one.. how long did u wait before you got a response?

my fiance had the same experienced like yours, he was interviewed aug 27 and asks him for addtil docs for his AKA cenomar & nbi.. he went back to submit his nbi sept 1 and his cenomar was processed on aug 27 same day after interview but embassy has a liason who pick up docs from NSO in Pasay and they do it every friday..so ive been doing follow ups every other day with the USEM, calling them.. i was told that they got the cenomar sept6 and sept 7 the case was for review..on sept 27, yesterday, USEM told me that MY fiance visa got approved and now we are waiting for them to mail it. So just hang in there, and try calling the embassy for the status of your case, tel 023012000 press 7 then 5184/5185 and only the petitioner can call them so tell ur fiance/fiancee to do it for you and make a follow up with DOS also..

What you're undergoing right now is administrative processing. For some applicants, it will take less than 2 weeks to resolve, for some, up to several weeks. Now unless your NBI clearance came back with a criminal or civil conviction, I would not worry about it. I agree with the other poster, have your fiance contact the Embassy or the Department of State (DOS) to see where they're at.

Just hang in there. Hope you hear from them soon.
