I'm getting things for my I-134 together and I'm wondering if I should include my stocks and ROTH IRA on the form (>$25,000)? If so, how close to the date of submission do I need to have the balance? With the stock market fluctuating so much, it seems to change quite a bit day to day! I was hoping to having everything for my fiance when he comes to visit over Christmas (knock on wood that he is allowed in), but I'm worried that'll be to soon and therefore too far from his actual interview? How close to the interview should the supporting evidence be dated (letter from supervisor, etc)?

Do you need the stocks and IRA to qualify? If you can qualify on income alone then you'll save yourself some trouble by not including any assets. They don't care about your net worth. They just want to know you qualify to sponsor an immigrant.

If you need the assets to qualify then you should be prepared to submit a statement from your broker showing you own the shares and their market value, as well as a statement from your IRA account manager showing the current value of your account. Get these statements as close to the interview day as practical, and still allow yourself time to get them to your fiance.
