Nothing Really

Firstly,

I followed some advise given here (somewhere) and applied for and received my first US credit card with Capital One - YEAH! Now I can build credit. Was denied two previous applications with other institutions (including my own bank) because of the old catch 22 - You can't get because you have no credit.

Secondly,

If only I can find a job up my alley. I had a sweet Customer Service position with a Manufacturing company in Canada. Made quite enough to live modestly, pay of a car and support my daughter on my own. Moved to the US to marry the man of my dreams and all I can get is Tim Hortons. It is so discouraging. I'm not strapped for cash by any stretch, but I sure would like to be back in an office and wearing the clothes that have been gathering dust.

Boo Hoo

Still waiting to see if i get my first credit card from them, maild the sheet back to them about a week ago now.

Same issue with finding a job tho! been here over a year and I cant find anything in my state. Iv applied to all kinds of things even stock room helper jobs and Not gotten any call backs. I recently applyed for a volunteer position tho maybe I can get that and hopefully turn it into a job or get a job from doing it. It does suck not being able to do what you used to do, I liked my old jobs! Cant seem to get anything at all here.
