I mailed our 129 F to dallas tx offiice on 8/26. I have postal reciept that the package was delivered on 8/29. As of today i have not heard anything from uscis to acknowledge receipt of the package, so i called to inquire. they told me they should have it, but it has not been put into their system. i was given a confirmation number, but was told this is not the same as recciept number. i think i understand this number means they will start to look for the package, but not sure. has anyone else had this type of delay from the get go?

You need to relax because if you think your not off to a good start already then its going to be bad the whole time for you. It takes a long time to imput things into the computers and go through this whole process. some people hear in 2 weeks some hear in 3 weeks some have taken a month to get their packets in the system. There are volumes and volumes of packets hitting the sorting center, thats why they changed it to dallas. After dallas it gets sent to VSC or CSC. So even then its probably another week being mailed to that center and them logging it in their computers there as well.

Hello, I do think that you should have got your first NOA, Im not sure if you sent it priority or express mail but even if you sent it just regular I think you should of got something by now. They did just change the locations to where you send the petitions to, now its dallas so maybe for this reason its possilbe that its taking a while, hopefully its just that. I really hope that you hear something from them soon, and I would keep calling USCIS to keep checking on it. I know its hard to be patient during this whole K-1 process.
