I finally recv'd my packet 3 in the mail from Montreal, however there was NO check list enclosed. Just the letter with the forms i need to fill out online and the required documents but not a check list like everyone on here has stated. Does this mean i dont have to send anything in? or did they forget to send it in my package? how do i find out? With the new system online its hard to know what has changed. Any help would be amazing becuase i dont want to send what i do have if it is missing paperwork and end up delaying things.

WHY IS THIS SOOOOO DIFFICULT!!!! UGGGGH

I didn't do a K1, so I'm not 100% sure on this, hopefully someone else can give you a really specific answer.

However, what you described sounds like they told you what they wanted - basically, a checklist.

If not - then when in doubt check the wiki section.

All the answers you need are normally located there.

We followed the wiki for our visa to the "T" and it saved us a lot of time, effort, money, stress, and worry.

They really do help =)

Best of luck =)

The letter with the list of forms and items you need to collect for the interview is the checklist... unless they have updated it all it is, is a sheet of paper with that on it and a little line next to it that you put check marks on and then sign where it says sign at the bottom.

Someone else posted this in a thread the other day. They said they received their P3 from Montreal without a checklist. I wish I could find the thread for you but I can't! So, given that this has happened to two people this week, it's possible they just aren't sending out checklists anymore.

Does it have a list of some kind that tells you what documents you need to gather? Like the police report, medical, etc.? Or does it refer you to a website to go on to retrieve information? Vancouver has been doing this for a while.

If not, and in doubt, check out the Canada wiki page: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Canada

There is a copy of the most recent Montreal checklist. If you're really worried about it, I would print off a copy and send that in. Otherwise, if they don't say you need a checklist then I guess you don't need a checklist anymore!

the letter did reference a check list. and i had seen the actual check list with the listed items and you check beside it online here someone but cant find it now. i called DOS.. NO help they told me to email the consulate but didn't have the email address. I finally found it and emailed them the whole situation and they responded with " the check list was enclosed in your letter" IT WASN'T. I did find a mock up check list i printed off and will use in stead.
