As part of the additional evidence on interview day, I wanted to prepare a few more affidavits from the beneficiary's side to present to the Consulate Officer.

Since my wife is from a developing nation, it seems like best practice to present affidavits from people who are unlikely to immigrate to the US after her.

1) Affidavit from her cousin who is a police officer. Since he is a cousin relative, he cannot be petitioned for by my wife via the I130 after she comes to the US. Further since he is a police officer, it may lend some credibility to his affidavit. Photographs from the wedding with the cousin present will be available if asked.

2) Affidavit from a good friend who is working at the US Embassy. Again since he is only a friend, he cannot be petitioned for by my wife via the I130 after she comes to the US. Further since he is working at the US Embassy, it may lend some credibility to his affidavit. Unfortunately, this friend only came to eat, drink and dance at our wedding - so there are no photographs of him from the actual wedding day.

I just wanted to hear some thoughts benefits and downsides of presenting these affidavits.
