I had an interview to adjust status on November 25 2009. After the interview the officer said that she was going to recomend an approval to her supervisor. However when they were going to process the paperwork they realised i was missing two forms that i was supposed to submit with my initial application. Those forms were 1-566 AND 1-508 (Waiver of rights, privileges, exemptions and immunities , and Interagency record of request. These forms are associated with diplomatic visa A-2(diplomat dependant). They were sent and received on December 11th 2009. Its been over 9months and all they are saying is that the file is still under review and they are doing additional investigation. What are my options? The lawyer that i had hired is nolonger in the country and he gave me back my file.

Get another lawyer and have them follow up.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
