DE as in Delaware? I live in Delaware and actually received help from then Senator Joe Biden's office when my petition was sitting in Vermont doing nothing for several months.

Google the 2 Senators and Congressmen from the state. If it is Delaware the Senators are Thomas Carper and Ted Kauffman (Kauffman is temporary until the next election and took over Biden's slot when he became Vice President) and the Congressmen (we only have one ) is Mike Castle.

Even if it's not Delaware, find them on google and get the email, fax number, and phone number for their office. I'd start with a phone call first. Explain your situation and request their help. They can make an inquiry to the service center to get information about your petition. I would follow up with an email and fax so that you've covered all of your basis.

Mike Castle was NO help at all. His office didn't do anything. Carper's office didn't do much either, but they did return my call. Biden's secretary contacted me every day for a week and strangely enough after that I got NOA 1 and 2 and zipped over to NVC.

Hey! :)

We got our case expedited trough one of the Texas congressman's assistant - he was REALLY helpful! We sent an e-mail and he got back at us the very next day! Our reason to ask for expedition was the fact that hubby is in the AF (I guess Texas really love their military! :P)

I would suggest callin the USCIS also - tho they might say wait another 30 days, but u never know - it might actually help!

Good luck to ur friends!
