I am going to Morocco in November. There are many "happenings" during this month. We will marry, his brother will marry and it is also the time of the "Feast".

Can anyone suggest good gift ideas for all of these events? He has a large family, so it is difficult to get something for everyone. I ask and am always told it is not necessary so it is difficult to get suggestions from them. Are gifts even appropriate for your new spouse or new family during the wedding celebration?

Thank you

Natasha

I always take gifts with me on my trips. Last time I took colognes for the guys and perfumes for the ladies. Before I have taken Peterbrooke chocolates (not Hersheys), make-up kits from Macy's or Dilliards, t-shirts for everyone, cool new shoes, jeans, all kinds of things. One thing they all really liked was beach towels. Not sure why....but maybe they are not easy to find there. I think the gifts are appropriate....even if not necessary. It's the thought behind the gift that really counts the most.

Hello!

One thing my husband's friends and family LOVED was chocolate! I brought them Hawaiian macadamia nut chocolates and See's candies. I think they were fighting for them until the last piece was eaten. MENA cultures LOVE sweets because they are eaten with tea and coffee when guests comes over. Also, rather than giving individuals a box of chocolate, you can give a box or two per family to save some bucks. You can never go wrong with a box of chocolate :)

yeah, candies in general are good. Nice chocolates for the adults, and we buy big halloween bags for the kiddos. Last time he went, my husband took a bunch of stuff from bath and body works. its heavy in the suitcase but very popluar with the ladies. :) also crayons and coloring books for the kids.
