Approval pending Correct Medical Form

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share some information my husband & I experiened at our AOS interview on August 3rd. Hopefully others will be able to use this to avoid some delays in getting green card.

Interview was a breeze, we had very little evidence - health insurance, 1 joint bank account, birth certificate, passports, pics and our letter to come for the interview. Plus I still use my maiden name for work purposes. It took all of 15 min & were "conditiionally" approved pending the Civil Surgeon who completed my husbands medical form transfer that information to a updated/current form. Apparently there have been 3 updated medical forms since Oct 2009 but some clinics/dr. offices may not have them yet. Most recent form is dated 07/2010 for the medical that the Civil Surgeon has to complete.

Not too much of a big deal other than we would already have the 10 year green card but instead we have to go back on Sept 8 with corrected/updated form. We were assured it would take 5 min and the approval would be "fianlized" at that time. Stay tuned! Good luck ot everyone else!
