Police Clearance

Hello everyone. Im from the Philippines. Im on the process of securing civil documents to be sent to NVC. MOst of the documents are complete already {NBI clearance,birt cert, passport,cenomar,etc) except that Im confused if I still need to secure a Police Clearance from a country(Taiwan) I worked with for exactly a year.

Any advise will be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

If it says that you need the pcc if u have lived in country over year, then I would say get it.

It does not harm, but make your case more stronger.

It contains the information that you will need for your police cert.

Thanks for the reply. There's where my confusion come in, I stayed there not over a year but "exactly" one year. Do I still need to get PCC?

Yah, I already looked into this link. It's not really easy securing one since Im here in Cebu and I believe their office here in the Philippines is in Manila.

this is how i requested for a police clearance as per advise of one of vj members when i posted the same concern.

-downloaded an application form from this site: www.meco.ph

-made a letter of request stating the reason for the need of PCC

-enclosed the following documents (only photocopies):

>biographic page (valid passport)

>biographic page (passport used in entering taiwan w/ visa & immigration stamps)

>US$20 processing fee for 2 copies & postage fee

>employment certificate (if available and if you worked during ur stay)

and i FedExed it to:

Foreign Affairs Division

Taipei Municipal Police Headquarters

No.96 Yen Ping South Road

Taipei, Taiwan ROC

i did not tell FedEx that i enclosed money in the envelope, since they will not allow money enclosed.

yes...$20 is still the applicable amount.

that covers pretty much everything.

i requested mine back in june 2010.

i received 3copies of the police certificate after 1 week.

and also, i did not enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.

just got approved back in the 27th of july...

right now,i'm in the waiting stage for my fiance to get here,do some pre-wedding escapades and fly back to US together...
