Does anyone know how long the medical and police cerificate is valid for?

The medical is valid for one year and I thought the police check was as well but as I have been floating around here on VJ I saw someone mention it was valid for 3months I am not sure if that is correct or not so maybe someone else has more insight on that one. the police report is a year or more. i think it would be wise for her to do the medical work up now because the tb test is three shots in two and half months and it will clear u from having to finish it here in us.

IMOA I WILL SAY HE SHOULD WAIT FOR THE APPOINTMENT FIRST,THE MEDICAL EXAM WILL ONLY TAKE HIM 2 DAYS TO BE COMPLETE.AND THE POLICE CERTIFICATE IS VALID FOR 3 MONTHS NOT A YEAR.SO I SUGGEST HE WAITS.

HOPE THIS HELPS

With an IR-1/CR-1 visa, the police clearance certificate has to be sent in with the DS-230 package at the NVC state (after the I-130 petition has been approved).

My question to all you folks out there is this: if the PCC is only valid for 3 months, how can someone applying for the IR-1/CR-1 visa time it right so that it won't expire by the time the interview rolls around?

Can others please share their experiences and how they handled the timing?

Thanks!
