Missing NOA2 - Can we file for AOS after filing I-824?

Hi! This is my first time posting. I was putting together my package for the I-485 when my husband realized he can't find his NOA2 anymore. We are going to file the I-824 form right now, but can I send in my I-485 package after filing the I-824? I've read on this forum that the duplicate NOA2 can take three to six months (or longer!) to arrive and I'd like to get the AOS package put together and sent off as soon as possible! Thanks for helping :)
