Eles fazem algumas perguntinhas e olham o affidavit :)

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Aw, Alex, sorry about our using Portuguese here. We didn't mean to shut you out...

No, it's ok! I understand it, I just feel stupid USING it. My boyfriend says I should feel more stupid NOT using it. He is right... :)

Shut out is corret as well, at least I've heard that when I lived in US.

And yeah, sorry, we didn't mean to exclude anyone. :)

Picked up my state police certificate today, and my sworn translation of my birth certificate for the AOS. ;)

Luis mailed the affidavit last friday so now we're set for the interview, all I need is an interview day. :P

Yeah, I wrote it automatically and then I looked it up... Alex, please, we need your help!

Hmmm, sworn translation. I was pretty sure we could translate ourselves or find someone to do it for us (provided that they could actually translate stuff). I guess we can have it translated in the U.S. as well, right?

I think "shut out" is better, actually! But sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt with English and stuff. One American and like 10 Brazilians = speak Portuguese, please. :)

PS Mew I thought you were the petitioner for the longest time. There is NO way to tell you are not a native English speaker.

"Shut out" it is then. We don't mind writing in English at all - we have to do it everywhere on the forum and to talk to our fiances, so... no problem. You really thought I was a native speaker? Wow, thank you, quite a compliment. Thanks!
