There are not a lot of Norwegians here, so there isn't that much info to get sadly.

I know that the embassy works pretty fast, my papers got through NVC within a few days, and the day it was approved it got sent to the embassy electronically. Luckily for me I had sent them an e-mail the day before asking a question, and they e-mailed me back asking my name, and after that they could tell me that they already recieved my documents, and would send me my package before they even got my case in the mail!

I also scheduled my interview date via e-mail, and got a very short waiting period.

Remember to get your medical done ASAP.

The doctor in Oslo wont be back until August 4th. There is a doctor in Stavanger, I flew there for a days trip on Monday just to get my medical done. He should be open, and he's a very pleasant man to work with. He will e-mail you docs and also a paper to take to get x-rays of your thorax, instead of sending it via mail, which takes a lot longer.

Hope everything works out for you. I have my interview on August 28th, hope all goes well there! I will update my status after my interview, and possibly write a interview review.

I have heard that the embassy in Oslo works pretty fast and that the interviewers generall are pretty nice, so I am hopeful. :)

Where in the US are you moving?

That is excellent info to have!...but I think you have me mixed up with my fiancée..lol..he is Norwegian and I'm the American=0) and we will be living in Philadelphia...what about you?...but I will pass that info to him about the Dr. Also I emailed the embassy and I couldn't make heads or tails from it..the person responding said that all interviews conducted will be done between 13:00 and 13:30 on Wed..huh??...we have gotten a new case number (notice from NVC) so I will shoot another email to the embassy with that and ask a couple of more questions and to get clarity on that previous email...

We are also setting up for an inteview with the embassy in Oslo, and not only are they fast, they're very pleasant people to deal with. When we received the packet from the embassy, we had a few questions on some of the forms. They replied very quickly (by the next day) with the answers to our questions.

Here's an amazing thing - when we sent off the DS-2001 (Notification of Applicant Readiness)... they called her. I was talking with her on Skype when she received the phone call. The lady at the embassy was friendly and pleasant, and asked when my fiance was going to have the medical exam and when she anticipated coming to America (19th of July and mid/late August respectively). She then set up an interview for her on the 4th of August.

Regarding the doctor - as I write this, my fiance is on the train going home from Stavanger. The doctor there was professional and very thorough. He said that he would forward the results to the embassy and they should arrive in ten days, which is plenty of time before the interview date. As Tunaa said, he will email the documents beforehand that need to be filled out and signed; she actually had two exams, one in the early afternoon for X-rays and the physical exam later in the afternoon with the doctor himself. She was also able to contact him via phone a few days before the exam to confirm that she had everything that was needed.

We are quite excited and we will update as we go along!
