Is Texas still handling VSC cases?

Seem today when I called the VSC we've lost 30 days of processing. Due to a bank error ( wachovia to wells fargo ) there was a problem with my check so I paid via CC. Well our original file date was June 9 and today I found out it was July 8th. Not much I can do other than be upset about it, but I was wondering if Texas is still processing the VSC cases. When I talked to the VSC today they said it was being handled in Vermont. I can only assume this is bad news as they've been one of the slowest next to California.

Is there hope that even though they said Vermont we could have our newly updated initially filed a month later now case be handled by Texas and get one of these quick approvals?

Texas is not approving the cases. All they are doing is cashing the checks for the cases and putting the cases into the system, then the cases are sent immediately back to Vermont. It seems that many people are getting confused as to what is happening in Texas. Basically a case is sent to Vermont, where it is forwarded to Texas where they are doing the intake (meaning they are cashing the checks and putting the cases in the system). The cases are then being sent back to Vermont immediately. All approvals are still coming from Vermont.

I'm assuming that since many cases that have been sent to Texas for intake have been approved, that Texas is beginning a background check or something for the petitioner and beneficiary. Then, when they send the case back to Vermont, wheels have started to turn. So, when an adjudicator in Vermont picks up a case to approve it, the ones that were sent to Texas are a step ahead of ones that had their checks cashed in Vermont. What this means is that most likely, yours was sent to Texas as well. Whether or not they were able to start the the process down there is probably dependent on the check issue. If they weren't able to register payment, they wouldn't have started work on your file. If your file is now back in Vermont, it won't be sent back to Texas as they now have payment from you, which is Texas's primary responsibility for these cases.

Ahhh, Clears up the mud quite a bit there. Well back to waiting for slow vermont it would appear. Setbacks happen. Thanks Wachovia and Wells Fargo! ( yet again, if not for bad luck I'd have none at all )
