My case is under AP.

we sent e mail to consular checking our case status. got reply mail from embassy.

Thank you for your note. The additional administrative processing must be conducted by the Department of State by officials in Washington. Unfortunately, there is no one you can contact to follow-up on the case or inquire about the current status of it. You may e-mail us every few weeks to inquire about the case, but I assure you that we will call you as soon as we can print your wife’s visa.

Thank you for your inquiry.

You can also use the Washington DC number to call periodically so that you don't have to bother the embassy, because it is also immediate gratification.

If it helps you feel any better, usually AP on females takes a LOT LOT LOT less time than AP on males.

Let us know how it works out!
