This is my first posting since joining VJ around middle of May. But I have a question regarding a notice i got yesterday from USCIS. I received an email stating more evidence is needed for my case. Now after I receive letter in the mail stating what else is needed and I send the item back to USCIS. Does my case get sent back to the end of the line cause of this additional information needed?

Im really nervous that it will be sent back to the end of the line and the waiting game starts all over.

I'm afraid no one really knows the answer to that. In theory, they should process RFE's within 60 days. But if you look at the different timelines on VJ, it usually goes much faster.

Question: what did you email message from USCIS say after they received your IMBAR RFE? Did it also say that preliminary processing was complete, or not?

23 Mar 06 - NOA 1 from CSC (transfered from TSC)

23 Jun 06 - RFE sent by USCIS:

08 Jul 06 - RFE reply received by USCIS:

11 Jul 06 - Touched (to confirm receipt IMBRA RFE on the 8th)

13 Aug 06 - e-mailed USCIS

14 Aug 06 - Rec e-mail saying they do not respond to e-mails

14 Aug 06 - Rec Not 1,but 3, e-mails case status change, they responded to my e-mail, requesting more Info

16 Aug 06 - touched for the very first time, FEELS SOOOOOO GOOD!

18 Aug 06 - tried calling USCIS,

8 Sept 06 - called USCIS-CSC Info line said they could not find any info on our recpt. #

12 Sept 06 - Contact with USCIS NSC - transfered to a imigration officer. said our case was being processed but unable to give me any info past that.

23 Sept 06 - Flew to Belgium to be with Inge, Get married and File DCF

24 Sept 06 - Received e-mail notification K-1 approved, What they waited forme to leava the US to approve???????????

You didn't mention what the RFE was for - I do not know about the IMBRA RFEs; I did receive an RFE for G325a signature and my petition was approved 2 weeks after I sent that back in. I have read of many others that makes me believe that on non-IMBRA RFEs - the petition is approved within days after receipt of your response (make sure you comply with their request thoroughly.) Good Luck

It stated that preliminary processing was complete. That's what i was confused about yesterday. If processing was complete then why am i just now getting an email about additional info needed now. But with the way things are going at CSC I guess it shouldn't surprise me to much.
