DS 230 Cover Letter Query

Hello everyone.

So we are preparing a cover sheet for my son's DS230 package and we would like to ask opinions on the following questions:

1. Should we include a copy of our marriage cert in my son's DS230?

2. Should we include a copy of my divorce decree to prove that I was clear and free to marry my current hubby?

Just want to make it clear, when my hubby filed my son's I-130 application, he included a copy of his birth cert, my birth cert, my son's birth cert, my divorce decree and our marriage cert to make all our relationships clear to USCIS.

Hi,

I am in the same boat as you. I filed DS230 for my step children about 2 weeks ago. I just received a notification from NVC requesting the custody papers of my step children which I don't have. Does your husband have the custody papers of your son?

Well since I'm filing the DS230, I'll go ahead and include all those documents. That makes sense, better to have too much evidence than too little I suppose.
