Change of Address

I am the petitioner for my husband's CR1 visa. I have moved to a new address since April this year, and did not file I-865 with USCIS. I have changed my address with the NVC at a later stage (few weeks after filing I-864 with my old address in it). My questions are:

1. Does changing address with NVC automatically change it with USCIS?

2. My husband's POE will be at the end of August, so he doesn't have a A# yet to put it next to his name on the Form I-865. Should I wait until he enters the country to get an A# ??

3. Am I going to get into any trouble for filing late?

Thanks for reading and giving me any advise.

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Canada
Timeline

I can say that changing your address with USCIS doesn't change your address with NVC. I changed my address once I received the NOA1 but I have been doing some research and if either you or the beneficiary move while waiting for NOA2 or anything afterwards, you will need to let the NVC know as well and also let your consulate know as well ( I'm not 100% sure about the last part as it was a friend of mine ). So I guess to better answer your question for #1.....No.

I would change it with NVC and also change it with USCIS. They are seperate entities in the end.

Pre-USCIS:

07-20-2008: Fell In Love

10/15/2008: Jami and I meet for the first time

1-17-2009: Became Engaged In Nova Scotia

04-01-2009: Visit to Nova Scotia to see Jami

06-29-2009: Jami comes to Arizona to visit

01-08-2010: Married in Fredericton, NB Canada

01-11-2010: Jami allowed back down with me after marriage for 6 months

USCIS JOURNEY:

05-22-2010: Packet received at Lockbox

07-07-2010: Jami went back to Fredericton, NB :(

10-29-2010: NOA2 ( FINALLY! )

NVC JOURNEY:

11-05-10: Case received at NVC

11-06-10: Called automated machine and got NVC case number
