I can't watch that film anymore because when I saw it in the theatre someone let rip with a gigantic fart in the middle of the love scene - followed by someone in the audience shouting "are you sure!?".

I can't see how we have. What people impute from our posts we cannot control; we can control only our own behaviour through our posts. If someone wants to point out where any of us have been in clear violation of the TOS, and not just decide for themselves as self-appointed deputies on the basis that they don't like us and nothing more, than I would like to see that. I have seen some frankly distressing words about "Brit sh!ts" mentioned in other quarters. That's not nice, nor accurate. I'm not even British, I just collect British husbands.

The kids next door are still not over the world cup. I'm working from home today and my desk is right by a window. Right outside me is a little grassy area where the kids have set up 'goals' using old Dasani bottles. I hear them say "gooooooooooooal" every 15 seconds.

Derail? No thread, especially not one about nothing in particular, is required to stay 'on track'. The only times VJ moderation shuts threads down for going 'off track' is when the off track movement brings conflict and flame wars with it.
