 I drink a glass of wine with dinner and I cook with booze, but I don't go out drinking. I don't just sit around drinking either. Last time I got really drunk was when I lost my shoes and ended up walking around Manhattan barefoot.

I have had many nights where I decided to walk home from the neighbourhood bar, and realized half way home the shoes had to come off. They always made it home with me though because damn, shoes are expensive!

how is it against TOS?

I'm treading on thin water by telling you guys about an Ewok PM as it is. I don't think I'm supposed to. But basically he said people have complained about my presence here and that he wants to "keep the peace" so I should stop posting.

Yes, I agree with Amby. The more the merrier!

Has anyone else been warned to stop posting here?

This is BS. I thought we were past this #######.

Can anyone here point to the part of the TOS where it says someone can't post here?

You know how moderation occurrs in practice. If one individual or a group of individuals makes a lot of noise, Ewok responds.

So my question is, who's making all the noise? Let's have a civil discussion. I'm frankly confused and a little hurt.

I think that for some of us who have reputations for snark and argument to have a place to just be nice and normal is actually a good thing for VJ. I said in a post over the weekend that I hardly ever report anything unless it's particularly egregious, like a veiled threat, and even then I sometimes hesitate. I feel that OT is a place for open and often heated discourse, and shutting down discussion that does not clearly veer into a TOS violation is possibly nonconstructive,

It's a good thing for us too :)

That said.. I've asked Ewok for clarification and if he says he doesn't want me here, I'll leave.

I don't understand how we do not welcome new members with open arms. Like I said at the beginning, I had my suspicions about your motives, but you posted according to the unwritten rules of this thread - no controversy, just fun and support, so all was well. I welcome all of you. And frankly, I really enjoy our discourse. You guys are funny and intelligent. I would have thought you were all women. tongue.gif
