Try it and report back, Amby, maybe I'll try it. I really need to get in shape. And sitting on the couch chatting to you guys isn't really helping. biggrin.gif

I'm going to have to increase my workouts I think as I have plateaued. I currently do 35 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes yoga/pilates every day but Sunday. This is going to have to go up to 1 hour on the elliptical now. /sigh

I wouldn't say way thin. And I don't think the cinnamon buns I have in the oven are going to help. But really, I just want to get in shape and toned. When I need to lose weight, I just stop eating. Exercise never seems to help me lose weight.

Not eating will only put your body in a starvation mode where it burns your muscle rather than the fat layer.

What you want to do is change your diet and combine that with exercise. You have to cut back on carbs (and cut out refined carbs entirely) and up your intake of protein. Combine that with cardio work and compound weight exercises.

I've been lazy with exercise recently, but I'm now going back to the gym. Since I'm whoring myself out getting back on the market I need to firm up a little. I did walk to the liquor store the other day, so that must count for something.

I don't mean literally not eating at all; but I do end up losing my appetite for some reason (yes, psychological, I know) and having to force myself to eat small portions. I make sure I get enough to eat, but it is way less than I normally would. Now, if I cut down on what I normally eat, this would never have to happen. But dead cows taste too good.

Dead cows are tasty :) I can't wait to get home and grill a big slab of meat  I usually eat chicken breast. Always grilled chicken breast. I have steak about once a week. I haven't had steak since I got here. All I eat is seafood or "just fish madame"

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

If you're like me, it's not just the walk to the liquor store where you lose weight. I don't eat when I drink, and if I manage to drink too much, I will actually hurl. WIN WIN WIN!!!!!!! Liquor just fades those pounds off. tongue.gif

We are trying to be fiscally responsible this summer, so we get steak about once a month. I miss my weekly steakfests. crying.gif
