Visit on tourist visa while waiting for K1?

My GF/Fiancee is in Costa Rica. She has a tourist visa that I think she said is good for ten years for her to come here to visit when she wants. She was just here in December, for example. Will she still be able to come and visit on the tourist visa while we wait for the K1 visa to go through? Or will that cause more problems than it is worth? We would like the visit to be as long as possible, but know we have to go to Costa Rica to do the interview when the time comes. I do plan on visiting her while we wait, too.

Nothing is guaranteed. But she certainly can present herself at the POE for permission to enter. She should bring extensive documentation showing her ties to Costa Rica proving she will return at the end of her intended stay.

Return air ticket, Apartment Lease agreement, letter from employer stating her return to work date, or a class schedule showing her enrollment for classes etc...
