Mailing I-175 Question

The 90 day window for ROC on my permanent residence starts on July 4th. My husband is set supposed to deploy again later in the year (no orders cut yet) so we want to get our paperwork in as soon as possible. We have everything ready and just need to mail it off. Being that the 4th of July is a Sunday we were thinking about mailing it off on the 3rd which is the Saturday before. If we send it on the Saturday we're hoping it will get there by the Tuesday or Wednesday (Monday the 5th will be a holiday) and we can get the ball rolling on the process before the end of the short week.

My question to anyone who can answer is, do they go by the date you send or the date they receive the package? We just want to make sure if that's o.k. before we do it so they don't send it back for being too early.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I know they go by the date they receive it, but I had the same concern myself especially that the form will be dated earlier than that.

I think they don't care about the date on the form, just the date on the NOA.... which is the date they receive it.

But I think your scenario you should be fine since they will receive it on the 5th.

good luck!

Thanks guys.

V333k, we thought of that too. The forms are dated July 5th where we signed and the package shouldn't get there before the 6th (Sunday and Monday the post office will be closed) so we should be good as long as we send priority.
