hi! i have two questions:

1. after getting married in in the Phils. we're going to Hawaii the next day for a honeymoon using my tourist visa, will i be allowed or can they detect on their system that i just got married?

2. will i need to get a Police Clearance from Qatar (since i worked there 2 yrs ago), not sure if it will help me getting my CR1 visa once i got back here in the Phils.?

Thanks much! your help is greatly appreciated:) :help:

1. Should be no issue - you are not barred from being married and visiting the US.

However, you must show strong ties back to your home country - it may be asked, so don't lie, prepare.

2. How long did you work there in Qatar?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Congratulations on your marriage. As long as you do not intend to immigrate to the US using your tourist visa its ok to travel for your honeymoon. Do not lie to the IO in any case and carry proof of ties back home showing that you intend to return back and not just stay here.

1. i have my return ticket to the Phils. after our honeymoon in a month to US. is it enough as a strong tie? should i tell the IO i got married in the Phils, whether they ask or not?

2. i worked from 2006 to 2008.

Thanks for your reply:)

I would get more evidence for strong ties - (lease, letter from boss your on vacation and still have job) - but a rtn ticket is pretty good.

Go here to learn if you need a police report.

(appears State changed the site -you may have to do some research)
