change of address confusion.. please help me..

hi.. we filed already the AOS for k3 last june 7.. my ailing aunt in the california wants me to stay with her after my biometrics.. my question is, must i really change address and inform ins where i am while i am waiting for my case even when i will come back here for interview? my husband will just call me to go home here in oklahoma when we will be called for interview already. please help me..

The real question is, are you "moving" or "visiting"?

If your moving, you will need to change your address.

If you are visiting ( while maintaining your current address), you do not need to change it.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

thanks.. i am visiting.. but since until now i have no biometrics sched.. and i really need to go to CA.. so more or less i will have my biometrics and interview there.. i will stay like 3-4 months.. to be with my aunt who needs my help.. i want my biometrics done and interview in CA.. and my husband can get vacation to be there with me.. thanks
