of course the fact that it's an Island helps with this fact too....

True but what does it say about America that an island with a non existent illegal alien problems has those measures yet America does diddly-squat.

PS Though, protecting thousands of miles of coastline is an extremely challenging task.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Dude, insults are not going to get your opinion anywhere. Trust me, I am an aficionado at this and could insult back, but in the interest of VJ, I am not going to do so.

Had Mexico not been such hypocrites, not treated naturalized citizens as second class or not treated illegals so poorly themselves, I'd take you more seriously on this issue. Nothing the US does comes even close to what Mexico does.

Never insulted you, my friend. My apologies if offense was taken. You and I have very different views...

And you know all that about the Mexican immigration laws because... The media illustrated you? You actually read the immigration laws? Hmmmmm, killing illegals is not on the menu for Mexican customs, sir. Again, all CBP officers shouldn't pay for what one person did. And for the record, I hope he has nightmares about that kid every single night...

People are butchered in Mexico daily and you guys have a beef with this border patrol. Lets not be disingenuous and forget Mexico has one of the highest homicide rates in the industrialized world.

We are getting off the subject.

We don't know the circumstaces of the shooting, but I say that if the kid was unjustifiably killed then that's bad - and you seem to be saying that if the killing deters other kids from throwing stones, then you are ok with it and the Officers should have full discretion

Is that a fair approximation of where the discussion sits just now ?

If so then I reckon the discussion is all washed up.

I have met plenty of Mexicans and mostly they are fine - just like people really. They could be mistaken for people if you didn't know they were Mexicans. I am sure there are many Mexican Jeffrey Dahmers and Carlos Mansons and Pedro van der Sloots too but so what ?

We are talking about killing as an effective and correct immigration control policy - not the characteristics of Mexico or Mexicans who were not present at the incident

And that has to do what exactly with your knowledge of Mexican immigration laws? Let's not use SAT words and remember that you better have something to back your words before changing subjects... And if memory serves me right it was not against me, but now you say us guys? SNL has nothing on you buddy.

Oh wow, so we are now moving from third world to industrialized? Gotta admit it sounds less hateful, I like it!

Okay lets call this a tragedy that demand justice, even throw in the case of the guy tasered to death.

I am keen on hearing if the same people up in arms of this isolated incident and statistically insignificant versus the million that have crossed the border unharmed to comment on the thousands of Americans that have been bashed, raped or murdered by the hands of illegals. Where the the outrage there? No outrage at all there, and the usual excuse is well others do it too, therefore, it's somehow okay. But boy when one teenager gets shot for ###### with border patrol, that is just inhumane NAZI-esque genocide.

Mexico might have a lot of poor people but it does not mean it's nonindustrial.

I repeat - if it's your child it's 100%

You can't minimise it by saying - "well it's only one and they shot lots of ours"

Well I suppose you could..

Praps you need a child of yours to be killed before you can understand the significance.

I would rather you stayed in your cave and typed race hate and insensitivity to the killing of a child than experience that.

these are not isolated incidents, buddy. And as far as crime goes, you don't need illegals to commit them, crime knows no race, creed, sex, etc.... I am willing to bet that the Americans bashed, raped or murdered is but a small fraction of what some americans are doing to each other.

What Americans are doing is irrelevant. What right does some foreigner that has no permission to be here in the first place have to attack any American? Furthermore, how bloody stupid can people be to attack the citizens of the country they are trying to reside in?

What is actually a small fraction is people crossing the border being killed by border agents. What is a large fraction is illegals killing Americans. After all, California alone spends $1 billion annually incarcerating illegal aliens for non-immigration based crimes.

My child wouldn't be stupid enough to assault foreign border agents, evidently yours would.

Ok, buddy. Stay in school, don't use drugs (although it may be too late to tell you this). I am bored of you now... Maybe tonight I'll be in the mood for some more nonsense.

If you so choose, look up how much they spend on incarcerating legal residents/citizens (much larger ain't it?). Oh, and I am still waiting on your source of knowledge (or lack thereof) for Mexican Immigration Laws.

Nah, maybe just stupid enough to talk out of their... elbows. Genetics, gotta love it.

You are not even a challenge. One state alone spending $1 billion on incarcerating illegals might not be significant to someone from such a rich country like yourself, but it's a big deal to Americans; particularly when they are paying for it and all of the other billions used in government services - in California alone.

Still waiting...

Sarcasm is a mechanism of defense, but you already knew that, didn't you? Why make it about me? Really, I am going the same path you went a couple of years ago, you're no different (in just that regard) than I am.

I certainly wouldn't bring either of them to the USA - not even for a visit.

The US is fine for me coz I am a independent capitalist, national class marksman, armed to the teeth - and it doesn't rain as much.

But for those at the bottom of the heap, it's a risky place to be and not just on the border. This pervasive idea that opponents of any age should be killed needs to change.

I can't get up to the range this week as there are literally hundred of police and prison officers and immigration officers firing hundreds of thousands of rounds. They strut around in black uniforms with jack boots and dark glasses looking aggressive and threatening. No wonder they get the response they do. Bit different to Policing in the UK where an unarmed guy with a smile helps you across the road.

Chicken and egg ? The UK Police know it's in THEIR interests to keep it low key

Every 20 years some nut fires a gun, but we don't have WACOS or tanks in the street

UK says if the police don't have guns, the criminals will not need em

US approach is that if the police kill them, the criminals won't have guns

Ok - look at the result after 234 years and say who was right - it's a blood bath here and will be in 100 years time.

You can kill some of the people some of the time - but you can't kill all of the people all of the time
