ToDo list K1 une fois arrivée aux USA

Ami(e)s du K1 et autres process de la mort, bonjour!

Ayant lu quelques uns de vos derniers posts à propos de l'ambassade Française à Washington, je voulais vous dire que j'étais aussi en contact avec pour officialiser la nationalité Française de mon petit Yankee. A cette occassion, une dame super sympa, Nathalie Perard, en a profité pour m'informer que l'on doit la contacter dès notre arrivée aux USA pour être enregistré en tant que Français résident aux USA, mais aussi et surtout pour déclarer notre intention de se marier (la publication aux bancs), puis bien sur, une fois le mariage célébré, la recontacter pour l'officialiser côté Français. Evidement, toute cette paperasse supplémentaire est surtout importante pour ceux qui ont ou veulent des enfants, obtenir plus tard la nationalité Française de l'époux(se) US voire aller vivre en France en famille.

Bref, on se plaint de la paperasse de nos process USCIS jusqu'à l'interview, mais cela n'est pas fini, alors je me suis fait une liste de trucs importants (pour K1) à faire une fois arrivé aux US, dans l'ordre :

- Obtain marriage license at courthouse

- Résiliation Bouygtel (ces enfoirés ont exigé que ma fiancée leur écrive une lettre d'hébergement avec justificatif de domicile!!!),

- SSN application,

- Inscription au consulat de France,

- Déclaration d'intention de mariage au consulat de France,

- Wedding!

- Déclaration de mariage au consulat de France,

- Changement de SSN pour Sher et baby

- AOS application (work permit et GC process included),

- Driver's license application,

- Inscription sur l'assurance santé de Sher

- Me déclarer sur l'assurance voiture de Sher

- Police coverage insurance information (if emergency)

- Sher's life insurance information (if...)

et comme dirait Georges, what else...? :)

USCIS received : 2010-09-27

USCIS touched : 2010-10-04

ASC appointment notice (I-797C) rec. : 2010-10-13

Biometrics appointment at Philly : 2010-11-03 (40 days)

Case transfered to CSC : 2010-11-24

Work permit card production ordered : 2010-12-02

I-485 touched at CSC : 2010-12-02

USCIS sent work permit card : 2010-12-07

Work permit card received : 2010-12-11 (68 days)

Green card approved: 2010-02-23

Green card received: 2010-03-11 (90 days)
