Hi fellow VJers,

I used USPS Express mail last Saturday (5/29/10) to send my N400 package to the Lewisville TX address, I tripled check the address so I'm sure I wrote it down correctly. USPS tracking status shows the current status as "forwarded" since Tuesday (6/1/10). Has this happen to anyone else? What can I do to make sure the package is being delivered?

Thanks in advance for any insights! :help:

I think if using USPS, you should send to Dallas and not Lewisville - but I could be wrong. My understanding is Lewisville accepts couriers that do not deliver to P.O Boxes such as FedEx and UPS.

What you might want to do is call USPS and check on the status while talking to some 'live' person instead of depending on the online status.

You can use USPS to send to Lewisville (Express Mail only). I am not sure why it says forwared but it might be USPS's fault. Wait for a few more days and see what will happen. If not, contact USPS.

JasmineLily.......Relax!

It happened to me. So i kinda screwed up on the mailing address. Yes i did....using USPS express mail and sending to Lewisville instead of Dallas or whatever. Point is...my tracking had same message.....forwarded!

Well guess what? They eventually get it...see these mail delivery folks do this all the time...Dallas/Lewisville and i bet they do it rolling their eyes too, like "oh Lord here comes another one". I did not even stop there. No Sireee... When i finally got my package resent back to me for the big crime of not signing the N400 form itself....what do you think i did?

I ended up forwarding the letter to the Dallas address (thinking...ahhh redemption time!!).Meanwhile the letter that accompanied my returned package stated (i hesitate to use the word clearly) somewhere at the bottom:::: send to blah! blah! blah!!!...Lewisville address

Did i make any attempts to contact them and have them resend it from Dallas to Lewisville? NO!!!!!!!!!!! Let them sort it out.

Throughout this period i was whistling...Prince`s This is what it sounds like when the doves cry........

Perhaps i knew one little secret: I sure as heck am not travelling outside the U.S this year and i will be voting in the next mid-term elections......so in the final analysis...what gives?

Thank you for everyone's advice! I'm still waiting for the NOA. Well... waiting for my check to be cashed as well. Looks like USCIS is not facing any bankruptcy crisis because it's not in a hurry to cash my check this time around, unlike last year they cashed my check like there's no tomorrow! LOL...

I sent my application via USPS with signature confirmation to Lewisville TX and the mail arrived after 2 days and was signed by employee there...It has been a week and I haven't heard back yet .... If you send it to Lewisville; then the mail should be signed upon receive by the office there, that's mean if you send your mail via USPS you need to add signiture confirmation to it....
