I don't know what would make me happy. I used to know and now I'm not so sure. GREAT time to have this all come to my attention though.

Just my thoughts here... You have to trust your well thought out decision to move to the U.S. and go with it. Fear of the unknown is always going to shake your faith when making a big life change (marriage, moving, job change, etc.). Just take a deep breath and move forward. As for the anxiety - try to find something to do to get your mind off of it for awhile - as a break. And of course, pray a lot. :star: Trust that everything in your life has a purpose.

I guess we'll need to call banks and find out what their requirements are. Hopefully they'll look for not much job history. I wouldn't mind another apartment if I knew it would only be for 6 months (though I do think it would be hard to find an apartment willing to let us do a 6 month lease).

Well, some of you may remember - we HATED Canada for a long time. Like, we literally hated living here, the liberal government, the socialist system, blah blah blah.

Which red state are you moving to? The one with the hicks? Or the one with the rednecks? ;)

Utah. So both. ;)

Thanks, that was actually a really nice post. :) And I agree with everything you wrote. We do need to give it a try.

Utah. So both. wink.gif

LOL :)

Well, there is great skiing there. And beautiful national parks. I just can't stand how many Mormons have this "holier-than-thou" superior attitude.

SLC?

Great skiing, yes, but I grew up there and have actually never been! It's definitely gorgeous there though. And yes, mormons can be frustrating. We're already wondering how we're going to handle them.

Yep, SLC. Luckily only about 60% or so mormon now.

Congratulations, inusa1234! :P

:D Guess it'll be backtocanada1234 if it doesn't work out.

Mr. 1234 feels pretty much the same as I do. Although the funny thing is that I think I'm going to miss his whole family more than he is!

You know, what you said is actually very true. Often I don't want to do something and when I force myself to do it, it turns out a lot better than expected.

Do you ever feel like you want to move back to the UK?

Once our savings ran out, I suspect I wouldn't be too wild about it either

Not to mention your future children, who would be living in cardboard boxes and playing with empty tin cans.

Tin? Do you know how much tin costs these days? What do you think I am, a Rockefeller?
