Ok, I'm new to this forum, but I really wish I would have found it BEFORE I filed.

Anyway, I'm wanting to know if anyone has any idea with what's going on with Processing Dates for K1 visas? And do they actually give any kind of meaningful information?

When I looked in late June, they were processing for early May. When I looked for July 19, they were processing for March 6 (Texas Center). What???? How did they go BACKWARDS? It doesn't make sense. When they updated it again (Aug 3), it STILL said March 6.

I recently filed so my check hasn't even been cashed yet, so i have no other updates to look at BUT the processing dates. But I'm wanting some type of reasonable guideline for how long this should take, I have a freakin wedding to plan ya know! :)

Thanks for any info.

timeline doesn't matter.

Hi & welcome.

Many on here will tell you, do not plan your wedding yet. You can have no idea of processing times. Lost deposits & broken hearts are the only result of planning too early. I'm approved & still not planning my wedding yet - too many things are unknown.

Some March filers still have no approval while June filers do. Nothing makes sense & def. don't look at those times, they mean nothing. Look at the VJ timelines for more accurate info.

And please fill in your timeline once you get your NOA1 so others can benefit like you want to now!

Good luck!

They went back so they could start processing applications that needed an RFE due to IMBRA (International Marriage Brokers Act). So... they don't mean too much at this point.

You'll find that regardless of having somewhat accurate timeframes - unfortunately not the case anymore-, it's not advisable to make big plans as to one's wedding. Many VJs have had to postpone their weddings and have lost some money over the delays, which are unpredictable. There's a change you'll get an RFE, or that it'll take long for it to be processed, or even if things go smooth, you can end up caugh in security checks at NVC. I'm sorry to tell you this, but there's no way to know how long it'll take...

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
