Cancelling Interview date

Hi guys,

Well were at the interview stage and last May I had to call embassy in PI to cancel my fiances appointment. We were going through rough times as Im sure many relationships face when its LDR. However we still want to keep it as an option.

My question is has anyone in this room had an experience or problems calling back to schedule another appointment after canceling the initial interview? Per the CSR at Manial Embassy it will not be a problem and that our Visa application doesnt expire until March of 2011.

Please comment on this issue.

Many Thanks..

It is my understanding that after the interview fee was paid, you have one (1) year to have the interview. Call back the USEM operator to confirm this. If you have another call left on your PIN, then all the better to make use of it. (I hate that $18 fee for 2 calls!).

Cancelling the interview may bring up a question to the CO, but he should also respect you for taking a time out to make sure the relationship is ready to move forward, and not implode on the US side.

Good luck and good choice to let things cool off for awhile, and confirm she is the right one for you.
