Timeline

I drove myself to my medical appointment for 9:30am. I had a hard time finding the building because it did not have the building # visible. I drove up and down the street 3 times and decided to park and walk into a building to ask someone where the building was. I parked and walked into a building that was under construction. I asked someone who worked in the building if it was 5345. It was!! Ok so I went up stairs to room 115. I told the front desk girl my name and appt time. I asked her if they accepted American $. She didn't speak english very well and told me to ask Eishel. I then asked if there was a bank near by, and she again said ask Eishel. 20 mins later, Eishel calls me up to the desk. She asks for my immunization record, passport and copy of bio page, 3 photos, and my appointment letter. Then was told to have a seat.

10:45am ( A little more than 1 hour after being there) Doctor calls me into the room. Asks me if i have had any operations, if i smoke, any heart problems, diabetes...etc. He said my immunizations are all up to date. He did a few breathing tests on me with his stethoscope. He then made me bend over and touch my toes, and he felt my spine. He said I am a very healthy person, and told me to go back to the waiting room. It is now 11am. 11:10am I get called to get blood work done, it takes approx 5 mins. Back to the waiting room. 10 mins later, i'm in xray room. That was also 5 mins. back to waiting room. Its now 11:30am and Eishel calls me up to the desk to give me an envelope to provide the consulate with. My results will be ready by 2pm on Thursday (day of my interview)so she gave me a letter explaining that to the consulate. Time to pay $260.00 cash. I had to run next door to an ATM to withdraw Canadian funds, as she did not accept the American $. Left the building and had to pay $13 for parking.

Overall, it was over 2 hours and most of it was waiting. But as for what they have to do, its pretty easy. Oh and she also gave me an envelope to give to my new family Doctor in the USA. I think its a CD.
