TB testing in Cuidad Juarez

Hi, My friends are in the planning stage...I am the research/best friend )

here is the question;

I see when you go thru Ciudad Juarez, MX the kids under 16 (they have 2 boys, aged 9 & 13) will need to get a TB test at medical.

then you need to wait 3-4 days to read the test (a needle under the skin...then check for TB reaction)

this means 4 extra days of hotel & scary time in one of the big trouble spot consulates at the moment. Big expense of hotel etc.

Does anyone know if the kids could go to a Dr. in Cozumel Mexico before we all fly to Ciudad Juarez...get a TB test, bring all the Dr. papers & then have it 'read' by the medicals in Ciudad J? Or document TB test at an earlier time & bring proof of being TB free?

It would save days of waiting in hotels in CJ

Unfortunately, there are only two medical clinics approved to process immigrant visa applicants and both are located in Ciudad Juarez.

Also, it is recommended that children between age 2 and 14 should be immunized at least four (4) weeks prior to their medical examination.
