Apparently I forgot to print the entire DS 160 application and I didn't save it after the confirmation page. So I have no way of uploading the completed application to print it, correct? The save file that I do have is for an incomplete application and completing it would generate a new confirmation page, which I don't want.

The embassy isn't supposed to need the printed application but they have requested it twice at the last 2 interviews. Do you think not having it printed jeopardizes the chances of getting an acceptance?

When did Kiev start using the DS 160? I have not heard that. That is the new electronic form and to my knowledge is not in use at Kiev. Anyone know otherwise?

DS-160 is a new form that is replacing DS-156 for all non-immigrant visas (except K-1, which still uses DS-156)

M is correct. The requirement for the 156 for K-1 Visa's is posted on the Kiev embassy's website.

Thanks for clearing that up, Sasha! Our interview is in 3 weeks + 1 day and I was beginning to panic that I was filling out the wrong form.

BTW, you were lucky to go when you did. There are almost NO flights to/from UA now (sold out for summer) and the ones that I could find are all more than $2,000 each. ugh. With 3 tickets it will be ~$7,000. I guess I'm just happy to to do my part to help the airlines stay afloat!

Try Expedia for flights, there are lots of cheap ones. As for the form, i contacted the Call Center in Kyiv and they insist that not only do you not need the application but it's supposedly against the rules for the officer to request it. However, like most circumstances within the government, the officers play by their own rules since they're not held accountable. I'm still trying to get written confirmation from the embassy that not having the printed application will not affect the decision. Having the confirmation page is supposed to allow the officer to scan the barcode and bring up the application on the computer. Apparently they just like harassing the applicant.

I see that requirement on the website, too, but I'm still confused because when my fiancée called the embassy to try to schedule an interview, she was told that she should file form 160. The website has changed a few times recently. Among other things, they keep changing the application fee. It was $131, then I saw it was $300, and today I see it is $350.
