N-400 NJ - Name Change

I am planning to apply for N-400 in Sept2010 from NJ.

Since at Newark, NJ DO, the oath is administered at the same day as the interview, I wanted to know whether my oath would be on the same day, if I applied for a name change.

This is because I learnt from online sources that for a name change - it can be done during oath but a court house federal judge needs to be present.

It might be wrong information, but if anyone has any experiences, please share.

Hello J_infy, I am wondering whether you can share your experience of name change in NJ with me. At the end, did you end up going to a judicial ceremony on another day? Was the whole process smooth? I hope you can see this message.

I plan to chance my name too, I also will file at Newark. But i read so many name change ordeal happen at newark. I am hesitating now about name change
