I CAN confirm the fee WILL be $350 - I have just opened a letter in the last 15 mins informing me of the cost.

That's a damn shame. Everyone here already pays out enough for this and that, and at least w/a CR-1 you get a GC at the end of it. Most people on here are not rich. I feel bad for new K-1 filers.

This is why I think the K1 is such a flawed visa for people filing from VWP countries, and other countries where it is possible and expedient to get married there. I know it is so hard when you are in the first flush of love to think about being apart from your loved one for a few more months, especially when you are married, but the payoff is ultimately worth the extra wait. Coming over here with a CR1 visa and the ability to work and travel immediately, plus the fact that we didn't need to pay anything else to USCIS until we lifted conditions, took a lot of pressure off.
