Hi folks, some of you know my fiance is heading for US tonight POE LAX tomorrow evening. We were talking last night and she popped up with this nickname she said she wants to start calling me when she gets here...we normally call each other baby....but she used the words last night... "bb dunot" and said it means "bb love." I looked up dunot in several online cebuano/visayan dictionaries and dunot keeps giving a definition of "rotten, spoiled, decay." Is there a hidden meaning or slang meaning to this word?? Or is she calling me rotten baby?? ohmy.gif

i think she meant "doughnut"but she shortcut the spelling into "donut"rofl.gif

I am bisaya too. "Dunot" means rotten unless she has her own meaning for it.

Thanks folks....I get to pick her up from LAX in a few hours...

Someone PM'd me and said it's a little weird for her to want to nickname me rotten but they said if the first thing she says to me is "Hi my dunot baby",,,, then I should respond "Hi Ko Tambok Kaunti Baby" ..... and tell her..ohh I was told that means my cute lil baby in Visaya..??? yes??

:o Pasaway Visayans!

My wife and her friends like messing with Americanos. They would get guys to believe that "Utot mo Mabaho" was "hello, how are you?"

I am not good with Tagalog grammar, but I know "utot" = fart and "mabaho" = stinky. What does "utot mo mabaho" mean -- "my fart stinks"? Karen likes saying something pasaway to me in Tagalog and then saying something innocent the second time when I ask her to repeat herself!
