New Topic...

I am helping out some relatives with their (F2A) visa applications...

Case has been "developing" since 10/09. i-130's filed back in 2001. Uncle lost all documents pertaining to cases... could never find out status of cases. I got involved and located USCIS receipt numbers... contacted USCIS in 10/2009. USCIS re-mailed approval notices & corrected mailing address.

NOTE: People... PLEASE keep USCIS/NVC updated of you current mailing address.

Began coordinating with relatives to gather documents needed... Spouse case had been denied, but US Citizen son refiled for mother and waited for mother's case to be approved/catch up to daughters cases.

My uncle is bringing his 2 unmarried/under 21 daughters... everything is done as far as mailing documents to NVC... I-864 & DS-230 mailed together on 04/27/2010. NVC message indicates... "your documents were received on 04/30/2010... please allow 8 weeks for processing..."

So my question is... From this point what should we expect??? Lets imagine that all documets are OK, and nothing else is requested... How long do they actually take to review/notify of case being complete/forwarded to CDJ??

How long after case is forwarded to CDJ should we expect to get notice of appointment?? Are interviews scheduled shortly after??? I need to know because i have to plan on requesting time off from work to accompany them to CDJ.

Please help. Thanks.

****UPDATE****

2 OF 3 CASES HAVE NOW BEEN COMPLETED. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED THAT ONE DOES NOT HAVE MESSAGE OF COMPLETION?

CASE COMPLETED ON 05/11/2010

NOW WHAT? HOW LONG BEFORE CDJ SCHEDULES INTERVIEWS?
