Hi to all,

This paperwork is for my mother. Currently, she is visiting my country (USA). She's been here 2x already as a visitor visa holder from the Philippines. My question is, her petition from her brother 23 years ago is now available for visa processing. Last thursday, I (her child her agent) paid online the $400.00 IV Fee Bill. I believe after NVC cleared and accepted my payment, it will then become "paid" and from there the next link will be to download the DS230 Biographical Info with the ff checklists. My mother completed almost all the checklist required however, the only thing that is missing is the Philippine NBI card. There is no way at this point in time to fly back home to the Philippines soon not until August 2010.

1. How can she get her NBI card for fingerprinting while she is still here in the USA?

2. I did my research, it says, contact the near Philippine consulate General which is located in Los Angeles and Arizona is part of their jurisdiction. Ive dialed their contact number the whole day today but I am not understanding why no live operator was present and only computerized prompt.

Anyone here knows how can I get an NBI card for my mother's fingerprint while she is here in the USA?

Thank you very much.

Maybe this should go to Regional Discussion for the Philippines forum instead of US Embassy and Consulate Discussion forum?

This link hopefully helps although I can attest it is not really that up to date. Check out Item 8 and Item 9

http://www.nbi.gov.ph/faq.htm

The website for the LA Philippine consulate doesn't specifically mention that they have the NBI fingerprint forms. Neither did the Philippine consulate in Toronto say that as well on their website.

They did have the fingerprint forms and will for a fee notarize it. It will be up to you to submit it to the NBI via mail or through people you know there (via a letter of authorization).

It is unfortunate that the nearest consulate for you is LA which means making a special trip to pay the fee and have the fingerprint card form notarized by the consulate.
