Hey all

Ive had my AOS interview, and had my biometrics, so whats next - do we just sit and wait for my greencard to come through? Is there anything else I need to do? (Ive seen something about getting a stamp in my passport?

Has anyone who has gone through DORA in Dallas had their greencard yet, im just wondering how long it took after their biometrics.

Most places won't give out stamps anymore. They just send you your green cards since it seems that the actal green cards arrive much faster than they did in the "old days". Te stamps used to hold you over until you receive the card.

It seems like there's no real standard time for DORA approvals...I got my approval after 83 days and the actual green card showed up in the mail after 91, and I believe that Smoochies was approved very fast, too.

Unfortunately though, it took a lot of people a long time to get the approval (sometimes longer than 160-170 days), so I can't give you an answer as far as how long it's going to take for sure.

The cool thing about DORA is that if USCIS realizes they can't complete your case within 90 days, they will send you a letter on the 70th day or so, with an appointment to go and apply for EAD and AP, and receive them on the spot. Until you receive that letter though (if you receive it) you just have to sit back and wait (I know it's SOOO hard!!! ).

Anyway, as geordieluvr said, check out our DORA thread, it's pretty interesting...DORA rocks!

GOOD LUCK! (F)
