HI....just wanted everyone to know, my wife just got her new readable passport in the mail. It has her married name and looks great, hahahaha, just because she takes such good pictures, hahaha.

But every thing worked out fine, her old passport is attached to the new one, for tracking purposes I guess. It took about 7 weeks to arrive. :thumbs: :thumbs:

Congratulations on the new passport!

I absolutely hated my wife's old green passport. All of her bio info was handwritten!!! It looked real tacky. :no:

The machine-readable ones look so much better.

are they still issuing the machine readable one?

from what I know, it is already phase out and they are now issuing the Epassport.

I think the Epassport has a microchip attached to your passport.

It contains all necessary info about the individual who owns the passport.
