hopefully someone here can help us solve this.

my fiancee claims shes shipped stuff home to manila from japan and just using street number + street name + manila

and it gets there just fine... but of course when i want to send her something from the USA they pretty much require a zip code for her area.

are zip codes really used in manila? shes lived there her entire life and has no idea what her zip code is. i told her to try looking at the power bill or phone bill or something? shes going to try that tomorrow but i just thought i would ask you guys too.

the use of zip codes in the Philippines is not as important as it is in the US. although the post office is encouraging the use of zip code, stuff that are mailed without it is still deliverable. here is a good site to check for zip codes in the philippines.
