When may the Petitioner leave Canada to visit USA?

Just got word a very close friend was in a fatal car accident...am I able to leave Canada even though the I-130 has not yet been approved?

Please keep the family and loved ones in prayers!

March 18, 2010 I-130 Submitted Ottawa (in person)

April 26, 2010 Packet 3 Request Arrives Canada Post, MTL # assigned

April 26, 2010 Overnighted Packet 3 Checklist and DS-230

April 28, 2010 Montreal Recieves Packet 3

July 21, 2010 left DH in Canada to prove domicile in USA :(

July 26, 2010 DOS contacted, Logged & Accepted, interview not yet scheduled

Interview------God Speed please!!! I miss my husband

That's awful, Lily. :(

You should be ok leaving, as long as it's not for too long. You shouldn't *need* to be present at any further immigration meeting things from now on, Montreal should (hopefully) just approve you. And soon! ;)

This is the best news I've heard all day! I was planning to make the arrangements to travel; either way. I was unsure if me leaving would void out the present process or if I needed to notify anyone. I'll be gone for at least 2 weeks, 3 weeks tops.

It was a hit and run...the jack ace didn't even stop~ my heart is so heavy!
