Hi there! I'm from the Philippines. Where should I get the police certificate required by the NVC? Is that also known as the NBI clearance? Do I have to get police certificates from places I have resided within the Philippines for more than 6 months? Or do I just need to submit my NBI clearance. Thanks in advance!

Hi! If you haven't stayed outside the Philippines for more than 6 months, then no need to get a police clearance. You will just need NBI clearance.

yeah NBI and police clearance are different...you bought need it police clearance can get from where you reside before and until now....if the nvc is asking for your police clearance from the places you live since 16 you need to go to the municipality of those places.

ex... if you live in pasay since 16 until now then you need to get police clearance in pasay

if you live in pasay since 16 and move out to laguna in 20 then you need a police clearance in both municipality

if you live in other country after you turn 16 and live there for more than 6 months then you need to get a police clearance from that country..

Are you sure about this? Thanks for the information.

But two of our friends here in the topic said to just get the NBI Clearance.

I'm confused.

Hi! If you haven't stayed outside the Philippines for more than 6 months, then no need to get a police clearance. You will just need NBI clearance.

Thanks! Are you sure that it's just the NBI Clearance? COngrats on your Visa! :)
