Concern about I-512l Approval! Need help!!

First of all,Thank you for having this post, and the helpful advice.

Second, I just received an approval for travel but not the official decision on my greencard yet. Should be within the next 6 weeks I'll get a written decision or request for additional information. In your experience, is it safe for me to go ahead and schedule a trip home now? Or should I wait awhile longer? The travel approval allows me to travel out of the country while my application is still being processed. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Unfortunately my visa expired last year and I hold a OPT . any other suggestions?

AP doesn't guarantee a safe US entry when your visa is already expired. Under these circumstances, if you ask me what are your chances of re-admissibility in US , I would say 50%. Wait until you get your Green Card and then you can travel with no worries. My 2 cents.
