Dear All,

My I-360 just got approved and now I have an interview scheduled on April 29th. I did not apply for a new I-485, my inteview is acutally based on approved I-365. I am getting really nervous. Can someone please tell me what kind of inteview questions do they ask? Should I take my lawyer with me?

Do they ask anything related to abuse? Can they deny you even though the vawa is approved. Please advise!

Thanks,

I-365? Do you mean 485?

The I-360 is used to classify you for your future adjustment of status. (so you can "self-petition" - it also defers your status so you can't get deported, you can get an EAD, and certain government benifits)

They will probably ask you questions to ensure you entered the marriage in good faith, and you are not trying to scam the system. Yes - if they find fault with your application, they can deny you adjustment.

If you have a lawyer, you should be asking them these questions, and if you feel the need to take one with you to the interview, you should.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
