ooh ok so u're the beneficiary and ur wife is the one who's applying.

u're saying that she applied in october 21, she received NOA1 which is the receipt notice, but u're still waiting for NOA2???

to be honest with u, if she applied in october then u would've received ur interview date by now.

coz the case in USCIS takes approx. 3 months of approval (NOA2) and ur case is then forwarded to NVC. they ask for AOS (1864), IV/AOS bill payment and ds230. this process takes about month or two if u dont get the RFE's and everything goes smoothly.

create ur timeline as well here on visajourney

hi muskan4eva no i think first of all you understand whole process as i mention in my last post according to usa immigration law the noa1 petation wating time is 5 month not 3 month but yes is depend on your luck that how lucky you are some one petation approval 3 week some one 2 to 3 month some 5 or 6 month and some one 8 to 10 and in very rare cases 16 month to 3 year it all depend on your luck and back ground check

and i dont recieved any RFE and when your case is finally approve uscis send you noa2 notice and then uscis transfer your case to nvc and then nvc allot and send you another case number and then send you aos 1864 iv aos bill payment and when you clear all the bill and this process will take another 6 to 8 week and after when your case is complete nvc transfer your case to pakistan embassy and it will take another 15 to 20 days to make appoint interview with benficery if you have any other question you can feel free to ask me have a good day

i've been looking at the timelines of other people here and most of them received the NOA2 in 3 months but yes some of them had to wait like 4 or 5 months for the case approval from USCIS. in ur case, it's been over 5 months, tell ur wife to contact the USCIS office.

i know i would be worried if the USCIS was taking that long just to approve my case in the first step.

mustafa1232 - I would take some action because of the delay. Are you sure your wife filed after she became a US Citizen, or if she filed while she was a GC holder then did she update the application ? Because from the timelines I am watching on VJ, it is getting processed within 5 months. You may want to get your wife to file for the K-3 Visa meanwhile if she has not done so. Also, if she is a US Citizen then she should get a good lawyer to find out whats going on.

I wish you all the best and good luck !! Stay positive, I am sure it will all work out very soon.
