Credential Reviews- where to translate school documents??

Hello everyone!

My new immigrant Costa Rican husband has a huge stack of course descriptions and syllabuses (syllabi?) from his university that he needs to have translated in order for the "Foreign Credentialing Committee" to review his case. Um, this seems ridiculous to me- we had to pay them $400 and they don't even have any translators working for them? And they couldn't even recommend any...I'm at a loss...I can't even find an organization to help. If we get a private translator the cost might be tremendous...one guy charges 25 cents a word! Anyway sorry for the rant...so any suggestions?? I know a ton of people had to have gone through this before, so I'm baffled as to why I can't find any info online. Maybe I'm not trying the right search terms...

A local university offers this service. Perhaps search for a translation service in your city. It was $40. for a page or two. We had my step sons school transcript done this way.

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

If possible, get copies of the documents to a family member in Costa Rica for translation. In the center of San Jose at the Casa Amarilla, they maintain a list of official translators. They're fast and pretty inexpensive.
